Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is so effective, especially for those with a small budget, that by the time you can afford to pay for more you won’t even need it. If you really want to make the most of your PPC campaigns stick to these 6 guidelines.
Choose your platform carefully
This may sound ridiculous but choosing the right platform for your PPC campaign is important. You need to think about where you will best be able to reach your audience, what your goals are and how the platform functions. Three of the biggest platforms for paid advertising at the moment are Facebook, Bing PPC and Google.
Set a goal
You can’t run a campaign without having clearly defined goals, otherwise how will you know if its effective or not? You need to set realistic goals that will be beneficial and you need to monitor them on a regular basis that way you can keep your finger on the pulse of what’s working and what isn’t. It’s also important to remember that you can set acceptable deviations to your objectives or goals.
Pay-per-Click helps you target your ads to customers in certain countries, regions or cities – or within a set distance from your business or shop. Your business gets found by people on Google precisely when they’re searching for the things that you offer.
If you really want to make the most of your PPC campaign you need to make sure that your targeting is accurate. When we talk of targeting we aren’t just talking about keywords. Geo-targeting and device targeting are two things no modern day PPC campaign should be without. You want to make sure that you are targeting the right people in the right areas, setting your ad campaign to all locations is a bit of a waste of money especially if your product or service is designed for a particular area.
