Every business would like to be among the top results for searches of certain keywords but this is something that is only achievable with a sound search engine optimisation (SEO) strategy. In the past you could easily work the system to rank higher in search results but today that requires some real effort.
Getting your SEO up to scratch doesn’t have to be a mammoth task. In this two-part post, we’ll look at six easy ways to turn your SEO strategy around.
Create good content
Having a business blog is pointless if you don’t create and publish good original content that your audience will enjoy and want to share. Good content that is being shared not only establishes your brand as a thought leader and industry expert but helps prove relevance and rank in search engines.
SEO or search engine optimisation is the name of the process used to optimise a website’s content, structure and quality in order to improve its organic visibility in search engines. SEO includes a number of processes such as keyword research, content development, site speed optimisation, structured title and description creation and improved website architecture.
Enable share buttons
What good is all that exceptional content if your audience can’t easily share it? Make sure your blog is equipped with share buttons that allow your readers to easily post your content to their social media pages and drive visitors back to your website. The more people can see your content the better.
Repurpose and re-share
What do you with your blogs once you’ve created them, published and promoted them? Do you leave them to collect dust somewhere in the archives of your blog? Don’t only promote your blogs once. Look at repurposing them in fun and engaging ways to generate additional views, shares, and subject relativity. Think in terms of images, quotes, podcasts, infographics and questions.
