8 Marketing Videos to Add to Your Marketing Mix Part 1

So you have decided to capture and engage your audience through video marketing. You understand the benefits, and that is great. Now, what’s next? Where do you start?

To help you decide, we have compiled a list of different types of marketing videos, and where best to employ these in your marketing funnel. Below are the first four.

1) Demo Videos

A demo video is the most effective way to demonstrate how your product or service works. Focus on the product or service and its features. You can show users how to set up a product, or take them through a test or a tour of your offering.

Use demo videos to encourage leads to try a product demo, request a free trial, or download information after you have already got their attention and their information.

Demo videos are ideal to introduce when your business struggles to move potential leads down the funnel during the convert stage.

2) How-to Videos

Not to be confused with the demo videos, how-to videos teach your audience new things that can help them to solve a problem or reach a goal preferably by using your product or service.

However, how-to videos do not have necessarily to showcase your particular solution. These can include cool tips and general useful and practical information for your customers.

Marketers advise adding ‘how-to’ videos if your business wants to retain its customers after the closing stage in the marketing funnel.

Video marketing involves incorporating videos into your digital marketing campaigns to promote your company, drive sales, raise awareness of your products or services, or engage your customers. Video marketing not only helps you connect with your audience but boosts information retention as well, meaning more people will remember your brand.

3) Informative Videos

This type of videos explains an industry topic or a problem users are facing for easier understanding. You can use these videos in your marketing strategy to explain a difficult concept through eye-catching storytelling and cool analogies.

It is best to use informative videos to generate leads at the top of the funnel, to attract potential leads to your website through organic search and social media.

4) Animated Videos

Another way to explain tricky topics through appealing visuals and graphics is through animated videos. These are ideal to engage visitors online for potential leads.

Also, use animated videos to attract users to learn about your brand, the company’s vision and its offering. An animated story is a great way to capture your target audience.
