Social media marketing is the process of reaching prospects and customers, and acquiring traffic and visibility through social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and many others. By utilizing the social aspect of the web, social media marketing is able to connect and interact on a much more personalized and dynamic level than through traditional marketing.
Cover Photo
A cover photo, a.k.a header image or background photo, is the large horizontal image at the top of your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profile or page. This a great place for individuals, brands or organisations to use a unique image that’s representative of who they are, what their business is or what they care about.
Direct Message
A direct message a.k.a a DM is a private message on Twitter or Instagram sent to one of your followers. A DM doesn’t show up on your timeline and in the case of twitter can only be sent between people who are already following each other.
Engagement
The term engagement in social media refers to the acts of talking to, messaging or otherwise interacting with people on social networks. Social media engagement is a core part of every brand social media strategy because your followers expect you to interact with them. If not, they will simply unfollow.
